Celebrating the Fourth of July with America’s favorite pastime

On the Fourth of July, we Americans don our red, white and blue and celebrate our great nation’s independence with some quintessentially American experiences — often boating in a “Redneck Yacht Club” style or backyard cookouts with hamburgers, hot dogs and ears of corn sizzling on the grill.

This year, my dad and I celebrated July 4 watching America’s favorite pastime. And, like all other traditional Fourth of July celebrations, fireworks shot into the night sky.

Happy Birthday, America!
