Photo Friday: Christmas in Toronto

Christmastime may be my favorite time of year to visit big cities.

Towering trees are decorated in twinkling lights and shiny bulbs. Christmas carols stream out doors of busy storefronts as children visit Santa Claus and holiday shoppers tote packages brimming with gifts. Snowflakes fall on city sidewalks.

Throughout December, I’ll share some of my “Christmas in the city” photos.

For this first holiday-themed Photo Friday post, I’m sharing two photos from my trip to Toronto for New Year’s Eve in 2007 going into 2008.

A popular shopping spot in Toronto, the Eaton Centre has a tall Christmas tree dripping in Swarovski crystals. In Dundas Square, the tree is less traditional.
