Photo Friday: Pumpkin patch near Baltimore
Pumpkins! Apple cider! Hayrides!
Yes, autumn has arrived. Though it doesn’t quite feel like fall yet in the mid-Atlantic. I miss chilly Michigan falls.
Fall is my favorite time of year. The leaves change into beautiful hues of yellow, orange and red. Starbucks releases its pumpkin spice latte. The air is crisp and cool enough for donning hooded sweatshirts. And, weekends are best spent at apple orchards, cider mills and pumpkin patches.
If you are in Maryland, I recommend spending a day at Rodgers Farms, especially if you have kiddos. The farm is full of activity! Take a hayride around the grounds, get lost in a maze of maize, or visit with some farm animals. Buy pumpkins and other gourds, apples, cider and other fall produce. Visit now through Nov. 3. For hours and rates, click here. The farm is located in Greenspring Valley, outside of Baltimore. For directions to Rodgers Farms, click here.
